A new role at the Chennai Super King (CSK)

Ravichandran Ashwin has recently assumed a new role at the Chennai Super Kings' (CSK) High-Performance Centre for the upcoming IPL 2025 season. The respected cricketer, who is currently part of the Rajasthan Royals (RR) team, will be utilising his extensive experience and expertise to help enhance cricketing prospects at CSK. This strategic move by the franchise's owners, India Cements, aims to make the most of Ashwin's valuable insights and abilities for the team's advantage.

Having accumulated over 500 Test wickets, Ashwin has conveyed his excitement about returning to familiar surroundings and his eagerness to have a positive influence on the sport. CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan warmly welcomed Ashwin back to the franchise, commending his commitment and love for cricket. Viswanathan also expressed his belief in Ashwin's capability to guide and nurture budding talents in the organisation.

Though there have been speculations regarding Ashwin making a return to the playing field with CSK, no official confirmation has been given yet. Currently, Ashwin's main focus will be on the development of CSK's academies and contributing to the franchise's long-term cricketing goals.
