AB de Villiers is set to boost the black African batting camp
AB de Villiers, the international cricketing superstar and Titans and Proteas legend, has joined the coaching team for the Titans Cricket Black African Batting Camp.
The Black African Batting Camp was established to accelerate the development of talented black African batters. The involvement of AB de Villiers as a coach is expected to further enhance the players' progress.
During the first edition, a group of five promising batters were mentored by the coaching staff of Momentum Multiply Titans over a three-day period. The young men also had the privilege of a net session with Sibonelo Makhanya, the White Ball captain.
According to Titans Cricket CEO Dr Jacques Faul, the addition of AB de Villiers as a coach to the Black African Batting Camp will be immensely beneficial to the players in the batting camp and will undoubtedly accelerate their progress and careers.
De Villiers, a former player, is renowned for his contributions to the game of cricket and his involvement in the camp is a testament to its growth and impact on the future of South African cricket.
Black Africa's 2024 batting camp is being held in winter, with five who participated in its inaugural edition in 2023.
