Are there any Proteas in the ICC Team of Tournament XI?
The ICC’s Team of the Tournament XI for the 2024 T20 World Cup did not include any South African players, despite the Proteas reaching the final. However, South African fast bowler Anrich Nortje was named as the 12th man. Here is the full list of the selected players:

12. Anrich Nortje (South Africa)
The selection panel consisted of renowned commentators Harsha Bhogle, Ian Bishop, and Kass Naidoo, along with ICC general manager of cricket Wasim Khan. India, the tournament champions, had the most representation with six players in the XI, followed by three from Afghanistan, who made it to the semi-finals for the first time, and one each from the West Indies and Australia.
