Bedingham would consider the contract as a bonus
Despite making his Test debut against India last December and scoring 347 runs at an average of 49.57, including a century and two fifties, David Bedingham did not receive a CSA contract for the 2024-25 season.
Proteas batsman is philosophical about not being awarded a national contract:
I’m disappointed not to have been offered a national contract. But I didn’t expect to be signed after just four Tests. I don’t deserve it. If I’d played maybe 10 to 15 games and performed solidly, that’s another matter. The most important thing for me is still to represent South Africa. A contract would be a bonus.”
