The CSA has announced the intake for the CSA Emerging Academy for the 2024 season.
The aim of the Emerging Academy, formally known as the National Academy, is to accelerate the development of players from age group and senior provincial cricket to the national level through the provision of specialist coaching and high performance training.
Based at the CSA Centre of Excellence in Pretoria, the men's and women's squads are made up of talent that has represented South Africa at Under-19 level, as well as players with domestic and international experience.
The men will take part in a three-month programme from May to July under the guidance of SA U19 and Men's Emerging Academy coach Malibongwe Maketa.
The women's programme, led by SA U19 and Women's Emerging Academy coach Dinesha Devnarain, will run from June to July and will focus on developing batsmen for the national set-up.
