Cricket South Africa (CSA) held a successful Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Indaba in Tshwane from July 26 to 28.
During the event, attendees revisited the resolutions from the 2018 Transformation Indaba and evaluated the progress made within the cricket ecosystem over the past five years.
The Indaba brought together thought leaders and cricket professionals, including players and player management, to discuss strategies for furthering DEI initiatives in the sport.
Representatives from the 16 CSA affiliates, including DEI chairpersons, CEOs, cricket services managers, coaches, and developers, participated in the event.
Discussions focused on selection patterns and trends, the quality of opportunities, development approaches from the grassroots to the professional level, organizational leadership in diversity, equity and inclusion, the DSAC Transformation Charter, and the sustainability of cricket in South Africa.
