Danni Wyatt Highlights England’s "Massive" Series
Danni Wyatt-Hodge, one of England’s most seasoned players, has described the upcoming clash against South Africa, back-to-back T20 World Cup finalists, as a crucial series for the team. The high-stakes matches carry even more significance as they serve as a prelude to the highly anticipated Women’s Ashes.
“This is a massive series for us, leading up to the Ashes. We want to go out there and show off our skills, and show everyone how good we are,” Wyatt was quoted as saying ahead of the first T20I of the three-match series in East London on November 24.
Also, she noted that the team is eager to demonstrate their strengths and make an impact after failing to reach the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup in October.
Reflecting on their World Cup performance, Wyatt pointed out that a mere eight poor overs shouldn’t define England’s capabilities. She affirmed the team’s determination to return to their fearless style of cricket, which has brought them success in recent years.
The series kicks off with three T20Is, starting on November 24, and concludes with a one-off Test beginning December 15. England’s players are aiming to regain momentum and build confidence as they prepare for the challenges ahead, including the Ashes.
