Delhi beat Rajasthan by Stubbs
Tristan Stubbs once again delivered for Delhi Capitals in their 20-run win over Rajasthan Royals in the IPL on Tuesday.
Stubbs scored 41 off 20 balls with three fours and three sixes as Delhi posted 221 for eight at their home ground, the Feroz Shah Kotla.
Rajasthan looked in good shape after Samson's 46-ball 86, but his dismissal, a catch in the deep that was given out cleanly by the third umpire, turned the match in Delhi's favour.
Rajasthan, who are yet to confirm their play-off spot, lost three more wickets in the next two overs as Delhi restricted their opponents to 201-8 for their sixth win in 12 matches.
First-time champions Rajasthan, who are second behind leaders Kolkata Knight Riders, have eight wins from 11 matches and remain favourites to finish in the top two.
The top four teams will go through to the playoffs, but No 1 and No 2 will have the advantage of an extra game to reach the final in Chennai on 26 May.
Spinner Kuldeep Yadav returned impressive figures of 2-25. Fast bowlers Khaleel Ahmed and Mukesh Kumar also took two wickets each.
But it was the batsmen who cruised to victory after Fraser-McGurk, who made 50 off 20 balls, and Abishek Porel, 65 off 36, put on an opening stand of 60.
Rajasthan lost wickets after the departure of the openers, but Stubbs' late charge took the total to 221-8.
