Dolphins narrowly defeated Titans in a match affected by rain
On Wednesday, the KZN Dolphins won the T20 Challenge against the Northerns Titans by three runs using the DLS method.
The hosts scored 127-6 after being put into bat. Jason Smith was the top scorer with 28*, and Khaya Zondo and Bradley Porteous each contributed 21.
For the visitors, David Wiese took 5-29 from his four overs.
The Dolphins' bowling attack was precise, limiting the Titans to 74-5 before rain interrupted play.
After the players returned to the field, the Titans had a revised target of 104, requiring 30 runs from two overs. The Dolphins eventually secured a narrow victory.
Skipper Prenelan Subrayen and Jon-Jon Smuts each took two wickets.
The Dolphins are currently ranked third on the T20 Challenge log, while the Titans are fifth.
