The Dolphins celebrate a wicket, by Gallo Images

Dolphins' top priority is to win the T20 trophy

Having reached two finals in the last three seasons, the KZN Dolphins are eager to get back into T20 mode when the T20 Challenge gets underway.

The Dolphins face Western Province in their opening match at Kingsmead, marking a challenging start to an extended T20 Challenge.

The tournament will consist of a double round, with teams playing each other both at home and away.

This extended format aims to provide players with ample T20 cricket experience ahead of the T20 World Cup. This is an exciting addition for fans who have been deprived of domestic T20 cricket. The tournament has been played in one venue for the last three seasons.

Dolphins captain Keshav Maharaj said:

“The SA20 has given a lot of players exposure, it also helped in increasing skill levels and cricket awareness, so players have been upskilled through the tournament.”

KZN Dolphins T20 squad:
Keshav Maharaj, Grant Roelofsen, Bryce Parsons, Eathan Bosch, Khaya Zondo, Marques Ackerman, Jon-Jon Smuts, Brad Porteous, Jason Smith, Andile Phehlukwayo, Andile Simelane, Prenelan Subrayen, Ottniel Baartman, Okuhle Cele, Daryn Dupavillon, Tristan Luus, Odirile Modimokoane, Tshepang Dithole, SJ Erwee.
