Gary Kirsten is not satisfied with the Pakistan team’s activity

Gary Kirsten didn't hold back in expressing his disappointment over Pakistan's loss to India, attributing it to poor decision-making during crucial moments of the match. Despite recognising that chasing a target of 120 wouldn't be easy, Kirsten believed Pakistan had the game within their grasp at 72 for 2 with several overs remaining.

Mohammad Rizwan's valiant effort in the first half of the innings kept Pakistan's hopes alive, but his dismissal, along with subsequent poor decisions, turned the tide in India's favour. Jasprit Bumrah's exceptional spell, which earned him the Player of the Match award, further compounded Pakistan's woes.

Kirsten emphasised the importance of sound decision-making in international cricket, especially during critical phases of the game. He acknowledged Rizwan's contribution but lamented the missed opportunities and poor choices that ultimately cost Pakistan the match.

Reflecting on the team's performance, Kirsten urged for better decision-making in future matches. Pakistan will look to bounce back against Canada on June 11 and conclude their group-stage campaign against Ireland on June 16.
