International Women's Day celebrated by Turfhall Primary School pupils and Protea players

Cricket South Africa's (CSA) and KFC's commitment to empowering women in sport is evident through their support of the KFC Mini-Cricket programme, which aims to transform lives far beyond the cricket field and contribute to positive social change through play.

By giving young girls the opportunity to participate in cricket, CSA and KFC are breaking down barriers and promoting gender equality in sport.

KFC Mini Cricket paid a surprise visit to the former primary school of SA Under-19 women's cricketer Jemma Botha - Turfhall Primary School in the Penlyn Estate in Cape Town. Two teams had the opportunity to interact with Proteas Women players and learn first-hand what can be achieved through hard work and dedication. The Proteas Women players shared their experience, skills and knowledge with the young girls, inspiring them to dream big and pursue their passions.
