IPL finished, now for T20 World Cup: ecstatic Rinku Singh after the title win
Rinku Singh, KKR's hitter, was happy after winning the IPL 2024. Rinku stated that one of his dreams had been fulfilled, and he was now preparing for the T20 World Cup 2024.
Rinku Singh fulfilled a major desire by winning the Indian Premier League with KKR in 2024. The batter was happy after the triumph and hopped about as KKR celebrated on May 26 at Chennai's MA Chidambaram Stadium. Rinku Singh told the IPL media team that one of his ambitions had come true, and he was now preparing to compete in the T20 World Cup in 2024.
Rinku previously stated in an interview that he has not won any major trophies since boyhood and would love to get his hands on the silverware by winning the Indian Premier League and the T20 World Cup. On Sunday, the Shreyas Iyer-led KKR destroyed Pat Cummins' SRH. KKR defeated SRH by eight wickets in a pretty one-sided final to win the IPL trophy after a 10-year wait.
Rinku Singh talked to the broadcaster after the match, stating that his wish had come true. Rinku has been with KKR for a long time, but he has only spent two complete seasons there.
"Outstanding feeling right now. The dream has come true - I have been here for 7 years and we are so happy. Credit to GG sir. I will finally lift the IPL trophy," Rinku Singh stated.
Rinku was also spotted hugging Shah Rukh Khan after the game, claiming that God's purpose had finally been realised.
Rinku Singh was not picked for India's 15-man team for the T20 World Cup 2024. Rinku's omission surprised many, but India's head coach Rahul Dravid explained that it was done to better balance the team.
Rinku will fly to New York on May 28 to join the Indian team.
