Rishabh Pant’s triumphant return to international cricket

Rishabh Pant recently celebrated his triumphant return to international cricket by sharing a proud moment on social media with his T20 World Cup winner's medal. His teammate, Axar Patel, jokingly reminded Pant that he also had the same medal from their successful campaign. Both players played key roles in India's T20 World Cup victory, with Pant showcasing his batting and wicketkeeping skills, earning two Best Fielder medals.

On July 3, Pant posted a picture with his medal, captioning it, "This medal hits you differently." Axar Patel humorously commented, "Bhai same mere pass bhi hai (Brother, even I have the same one with me)," emphasising their shared achievement and camaraderie.

The Indian team, including Pant and Axar, experienced delays returning from Barbados due to Hurricane Beryl, which led to the closure of the island's airport. Their arrival, initially set for Wednesday evening, was rescheduled for Thursday morning. The team is expected to land in Delhi around 6 am and will meet with the Prime Minister.

In a considerate gesture, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah ensured the safe return of Indian media personnel by arranging for them to travel on the chartered plane organised by the BCCI amidst the logistical challenges caused by the hurricane.
