The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the schedule for India’s upcoming Test series against England in June and July 2025 on Thursday (August 22) via X (formerly Twitter). The five-match Test series will begin with the first Test on June 20 in the UK.
This series is a key part of the 2025-27 World Test Championship (WTC) cycle and will take place shortly after the WTC final next year. India comes into this series on the back of a 4-1 victory against England during their 2024 Test tour in India, making this contest highly anticipated as England seeks redemption.
Notably, Rohit Sharma is expected to continue as India’s captain beyond the 2025 WTC Final, as suggested by the BCCI's use of his image alongside the schedule announcement.
The series will start in Leeds and conclude with the fifth Test in London on July 31.
The full schedule for the IND vs ENG Test series in 2025 is as follows:
- 1st Test: June 20-24 - Headingley, Leeds
- 2nd Test: July 2-6 - Edgbaston, Birmingham
- 3rd Test: July 10-14 - Lord's, London
