Sir Clive Lloyd Honored with Order of the Caribbean Community
St. John's, Antigua – Cricket West Indies (CWI) proudly celebrates Sir Clive Lloyd, the iconic former captain of the West Indies cricket team, who was awarded the prestigious Order of the Caribbean Community (OCC). The honour was presented at the 47th Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) in Grenada on July 28, 2024.
Dr. Kishore Shallow, President of CWI, attended the ceremony, where Sir Clive Lloyd was lauded for his remarkable contributions to cricket and his lasting legacy as a leader and ambassador of the sport.
Dr. Shallow conveyed, on behalf of Cricket West Indies, warm congratulations to Sir Clive Lloyd for receiving the OCC. He highlighted that this accolade is a well-deserved recognition for someone who has not only excelled on the cricket field but has also been a consistent source of inspiration and leadership for the Caribbean and beyond.
