The CSA Women's 1 Day Cup and T20 Challenge T20 Challenge: Brits and Mlaba shine as Dolphins take on Badgers

In a Cricket South Africa (CSA) Professional Women's Domestic League live double-header in Durban on Sunday, the Six Gun Grill Garden Route Badgers pulled off a thrilling five-wicket win over the Hollywoodbets Dolphins.

In a nail-biting finish, Micaèla Andrews steered her team to victory, timing her runs between wickets just right to ensure the visitors won with just one ball to spare.

The Dolphins chose to bat first and managed to score 45/9 in 14 overs due to a delayed start. Tabitha la Grange led the bowling attack, taking 3/5 in three overs, while Annerie Dercksen provided good support with 2/6.

The Badgers managed to chase down the target in an intense finish despite a spirited effort from the hosts, including an outstanding spell from Proteas women's spinner Nonkululeko Mlaba, who dismissed her international teammate Tazmin Brits early on.

In Saturday's CSA 1-Day Cup clash, the home side posted a competitive total of 221/8 from their allotted 50 overs. A collective batting effort was the order of the day. However, Mlaba's impressive four-wicket haul limited the visitors to 144 all out.

Despite Brits' valiant half-century (63 off 59), she fell to the bowling of Nosihle Ngubane (2/32 from 10 overs) as the Dolphins cruised to a commanding 77-run victory.

In Division 2 action, Eastern Cape Iinyathi Women dominated both the CSA Women’s 1-Day Cup and T20 Challenge matches against Kei Women in East London, winning by 60 runs and 10 wickets, respectively. On Saturday, Tembela Ngcobo distinguished herself with a superb five-wicket haul, finishing with figures of 5/28 in 10 overs.
