The Women's Test will be at Lord's Cricket Ground

For the first time in history, Lord's Cricket Ground will host a women’s Test match in 2026, featuring India against England. Although Lord’s has previously hosted women’s ODIs and T20Is, this marks the venue’s debut in staging a women’s Test.

On August 22, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed that the legendary stadium, often called the "Home of Cricket" since its establishment in 1814, will witness this milestone. While the first international match at Lord’s took place in 1884, a woman's Test has never been played there until now.

India’s women’s team has been making significant strides in international cricket, highlighted by their commanding 347-run victory over England in a one-off Test at the DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai in December 2023.

Before this landmark Test, the Indian women’s team will tour England in 2025 for a white-ball series. The tour includes a five-match T20I series in Nottingham from June 28 to July 12, followed by a three-match ODI series from July 16 to July 22.

In addition, the Indian men’s team will also tour England in 2025 for a five-match Test series. The series kicks off at Headingley on June 20, followed by Tests at Birmingham, Lord's, Manchester, and London.
