Warriors continue winning in T20 Challenge wrap

The EP Warriors continued their winning streak in the T20 Challenge, securing their seventh consecutive victory with a narrow two-run win over the Central Gauteng Lions at the Wanderers on Wednesday.

After being asked to bat first, Andile Mogakane's unbeaten 73 off 51 deliveries, along with Jordan Hermann's 40 off 32 and Sinethemba Qeshile's unbeaten 22 off 14, helped the visitors reach a total of 173-4.

Rassie van der Dussen top-scored for the Lions with 43 runs off 31 balls. He was well-supported by Temba Bavuma, who contributed 28 runs off 26 balls in a 53-run partnership. The innings was steadied after the early loss of openers Reeza Hendricks (who was dismissed for a golden duck) and Ryan Rickelton (who scored 12 runs off 12 balls).

Wiaan Mulder's quickfire 43 off 20 balls gave the Lions hope, but his dismissal by Alfred Mothoa (who finished with figures of 3-35) put the Titans back in control.

Beyers Swanepoel (who took 2-27) then held his nerve to defend 12 runs in the final over.
