Matthew Breetzke's blazing half-century helped the EP Warriors maintain their impressive run in the T20 Challenge. They secured a comfortable 31-run victory over the KZN Inland Tuskers at St George's Park in Gqeberha on Friday.
The Proteas batsman smashed seven sixes in a scintillating 41-ball 72. The hosts have now won nine out of ten matches, extending their lead over the Central Gauteng Lions at the top of the T20 Challenge log.
The latest round of action saw wins for the Northern Titans and North West Dragons.
On Friday, the Breetzke show in the Eastern Cape blew away the Tuskers with his performance at the top of the order.
After losing the toss, the hosts batted first and scored 174-5. Jiveshan Pillay and Jordan Hermann also contributed 21 runs apiece.
In their reply, the visitors could only manage 143-9, with Cameron Delport top-scoring with 29.
Nealan van Heerden was the pick of the Warriors' bowlers with figures of 3-31.
