Babar Azam’s unbeaten century and Jahandad Khan’s early breakthroughs powered Stallions to a commanding 174-run win over the Dolphins, handing them their third consecutive defeat in the tournament. The match followed the trend of all seven games being won by teams batting first.
Stallions posted a formidable total of 271 for 7, thanks to Babar’s 104* off 100 balls and Yasir Khan’s steady 46. In response, the Dolphins collapsed to just 97, with Jahandad Khan taking 3 for 18 and Mehran Mumtaz contributing 3 for 14.
After choosing to bat, the Stallions started solidly with a 76-run opening stand between Shan Masood and Yasir Khan. Although Faheem Ashraf’s double strike slowed the innings by removing both openers, Babar held the innings together. His 57-run partnership with Tayyab Tahir provided the platform for a late acceleration, where Babar unleashed 54 runs off the last 35 balls, including three sixes and three fours, helping Stallions reach 271.
Dolphins’ chase got off to a disastrous start, with Jahandad removing Muhammad Hurraira for a duck in the second ball of the innings. By the third over, Dolphins were struggling at 15 for 2 after Jahandad dismissed Umar Amin. While Sahibzada Farhan and Saud Shakeel offered brief resistance, Jahandad struck again by bowling Shakeel.
Haris Rauf then ripped through the middle order, taking two quick wickets, reducing Dolphins to 60 for 5. The lower order had no answers against the spin of Abrar Ahmed and Mehran Mumtaz, who combined to take five wickets and bowl out the Dolphins for a paltry 97, sealing another defeat and leaving them winless in the tournament.
