India Cannot Hire MS Dhoni as Head Coach

MS Dhoni is Ineligible to Lead Team India: The wicketkeeper-batter is ineligible to Lead Team India, even if he applies.

No Way Can MS Dhoni Lead India as Head Coach? Most people agree that MS Dhoni is among the greatest cricket captains in the world. His leadership abilities are evident in his success in white-ball cricket, but he also proved to be a capable batsman in Test matches, winning all three of the ICC Titles in the limited-overs format and taking home the ICC Mace. Some supporters think that Dhoni would be the greatest choice to lead India as head coach because of his leadership qualities.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) asked for applicants for the position after it was reported in the media that Rahul Dravid, the current coach of India, was not interested in having his contract extended. It is important to remember that Dhoni, who is a batter and wicketkeeper, cannot be appointed head coach immediately even if the application time has passed and he has not submitted an application.

Since he hasn't given up on all kinds of cricket, MS Dhoni isn't immediately qualified to take over as head coach of India. Despite having played for India for the last time in 2019, the 42-year-old is still active in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). As a result, Dhoni cannot take on the position until he retires from all forms of Indian cricket. That being said, Dhoni has guided Team India in the past throughout their 2021 T20 World Cup campaign.
