The Buchi Babu Invitational Tournament is one of India’s oldest four-day cricket competitions, and it holds significant importance in the country’s domestic cricketing calendar. This year’s event is scheduled to take place from August 15 to September 11 across various venues in Tamil Nadu.
Shreyas Iyer, a key player in India's middle order, will be representing Mumbai in the tournament. He is set to play in the second round, specifically in a match against Jammu and Kashmir from August 27 to 30 in Coimbatore. This participation is vital for Iyer as he prepares for an upcoming Test series against Bangladesh. Suryakumar Yadav, the captain of India's T20I team, is also participating with hopes of earning a place in the Test squad.
