West Indies to welcome South Africa, England and Bangladesh in 2024

The West Indies men will host South Africa, England, and Bangladesh between May and December 2024. The home matches begin with a visit from South Africa for three T20Is starting on 23 May at Sabina Park in Jamaica before the T20 World Cup in June, which West Indies and USA will host.

The three T20Is clash with the IPL play-off week, which is likely to feature a number of West Indies players, including T20I captain Rovman Powell and Shimron Hetmyer. They are part of Rajasthan Royals, who currently sit second on the points table. Cricket West Indies have allowed their players to participate in the IPL until their teams are eliminated. It has not yet been confirmed whether the players whose teams don't make the play-offs will be included in the West Indies squad for the South Africa series.

The West Indies then embark on a Test series in England in July, after which South Africa returns to the Caribbean for two Tests in Trinidad and Guyana from 7 August. This is followed by another three-match T20I series at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad from 23 August before the CPL. The two sides will also play a four-day warm-up match in Tarouba ahead of the Test series.

After a white-ball tour of Sri Lanka in October, West Indies host England from October 31 for three ODIs and five T20Is played in Antigua, Barbados, and St Lucia.

Bangladesh will then visit the Caribbean shores between 22 November and 19 December for a full-fledged tour that begins with two Tests in Antigua and Jamaica, three ODIs in St Kitts & Nevis, and three T20Is in St Vincent. West Indies will return to the Arnos Vale Ground in St Vincent for the first time since 2014. Bangladesh will also play a pre-Test warm-up match in Antigua.

CWI chief executive Johnny Grave said Grenada and Dominica missed out on hosting matches this year because of "significant improvements" made to the stadiums, adding that West Indies will return to both venues in 2025.
