The UAE, India, and Sri Lanka are alternative venues for the women's T20 World

The UAE, India, and Sri Lanka are being considered as backup venues for the women's T20 World Cup if the tournament needs to be moved from Bangladesh. The country has faced significant unrest and violence recently, leading to the resignation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the appointment of an interim government. 

The tournament, scheduled from October 3-20, could be relocated due to safety concerns. The ICC is monitoring the situation closely with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and security consultants to ensure the safety of participants. 

Travel advisories have been issued by Australia, England, and India against visiting Bangladesh. The ICC is exploring options for alternative venues, with India and Sri Lanka as potential hosts. However, Sri Lanka faces potential rain issues, and India may have visa concerns for the Pakistan team.

Additionally, the BCB has delayed the Bangladesh A team's departure for Pakistan by 48 hours due to unforeseen circumstances. The senior team's departure for Pakistan is still set for August 17.
